5 Days Bushman Trail to Zimbabwe and Botswana

 Victoria Falls is one of the the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Mosi-oa-Tunya as it is locally called is the largest waterfall in the world.  It is on the Zambezi River that separates Zimbabwe from Zambia. Victoria Falls National Park, Zimbabwe protects the south and east bank of the Zambezi River in the area of the world-famous Victoria Falls. A notable feature of the park is the rainforest which grows in the spray of the falls, including ferns, palms, liana vines, and a number of trees such as mahogany not seen elsewhere in the region. The park is located within the Zambezian and Mopane woodlands eco-region.

Chobe National Park, in northern Botswana, has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. By size, it is the third largest park in the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Gemsbok National Park, and is the most biologically diverse. It is also Botswana’s first national park

Your Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arriving and customs clearance in Victoria Falls, your guide will assist you with your transfer and check-in to the Elephant Hills Resort in Victoria Falls.  Following lunch, your knowledgeable guide will take you on an afternoon tour of Victoria Falls.  After your tour, you will be brought back to your hotel for some relaxation followed by dinner.

Day 2

Chobe National Park – Game drives and cruising the river.

We will enjoy breakfast at our hotel and then depart promptly at 7:00am.  Please remember to bring your passports as we will be traveling to the Kazungula border to enter Botswana and Chobe National Park.  Upon entry into Botswana you’re transported to the check in counter as your full day game drive and river commences.  Your trip coordinator will communicate and handle all the details of your visit to Chobe National Park.  All park fees, lunch and tip for local guides are included.  We will return in the late afternoon back to your Victoria Falls hotel followed by dinner at your leisure.

Day 3

Victoria Falls National Park and Photography Cruise on the Zambezi River.

On this day we spend our day at Victoria Falls National Park exploring for birds, arthropods, mammals, amphibians, plants flora and fauna with your Trip coordinator guiding you through the national park.  Later in the day we go on a bird watching photography river cruise on the Zambezi River.  We then transfer to the hotel followed by a dinner at your own expense.  We will assist you with dinner choice recommendations and reservations.

Day 4

Today we will schedule optional tours based on your personal preference.  (Options include either a helicopter tour, a bridge tour, a walk with the lions or an elephant interactive tour or a game drive.  For the more adventurous, we can also arrange zip lining, bungee jumping,  crocodile cage diving or white water rafting on the Zambezi!)  Time permitting, we will be able visit some of the local shops.  For dinner tonight, you will be able to experience African Cuisine and Culture at Boma a buffet where you can sample a great variety of local African cuisine including warthog, Impala, kudu, and many traditional English meals and every dessert  you can think of.
