Your Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arriving and customs clearance in Victoria Falls, you will be transferred to the Elephant Hills Hotel in Victoria Falls.  Following an afternoon of relaxation, we depart for a sunset cruise and cocktails on the Zambezi River followed by dinner.  Your tour Leader will advise the details of the next day’s program.

Day 2

Following breakfast at our hotel we will have a full day including Victoria Falls, Game Drive, River Cruise / bird watching and Zambezi National Park.  Lunch today will be in the park at Zambezi National Park or Zambezi house.  Dinner tonight will be at our hotel.

Day 3

Optional activities day. Victoria Falls is often referred to as the Activity Hub of Africa. There is no shortage of activities to choose from, such as a helicopter ride ($150), bungee jumping ($160) or zip Lining ($45). We will give you a complete list of activities when you inquire with us!

Day 4

Following breakfast we will check-out of our hotel and have an early departure from Victoria Falls and drive to Hwange National Park.  Following hotel check-in and lunch, we will enjoy an afternoon game drive.  This evening we will enjoy dinner at our hotel.

Day 5

Following an early breakfast, we will enjoy a full day game drive with lunch in Hwange National Park.  This evening we will enjoy dinner at our hotel.

Day 6

Following breakfast this morning we will checkout out of our lodge and drive to Bulawayo.  We will check in at N1 hotel and then spend the afternoon at the National History Museum.  Dinner tonight at either cattlemen or 747 barbecue with locals.

Day 7

Following breakfast we will leave at mid morning for Matopos National Park.  We will check in at our hotel and then enjoy a late afternoon drive in the park. Dinner tonight at the lodge:   This evening we will enjoy story telling about the life and explorations of Cecil John Rhodes.

Day 8

Today we will enjoy a tour of the Geology and Archeological sites.  We will also see the San Bushman paintings and visit Cecil John Rhodes’ grave.  Lunch will be eaten out in the park.  In the afternoon, you will also be able to enjoy optional activities like zip lining and mountain climbing at an extra cost.  Dinner tonight at the lodge.

Day 9

Today we will drive back to Bulawayo and stay overnight at either N1 or our host’s home.  We will enjoy a Township tour and your tour leader Sisa Mthunzie will share his life story of growing up in post independent Rhodesia and Zimbabwe: This evening, we will enjoy a home hosted dinner at one of the residents home with a chance to reflect and learn about the life of ordinary citizens of Zimbabwe.

Day 10

We will drive back to Victoria Falls and check in at our hotel.  We will enjoy an afternoon at leisure.  Your tour guide will advise you of shopping options for local handicrafts. Tonight we will enjoy dinner at our hotel followed by reflections on the whole trip and a briefing on tomorrow’s trip to Botswana.

Day 11

We will enjoy breakfast at our hotel and then depart promptly at 7:00am.  Please remember to bring your passports as we will be traveling to the Kazungula border to enter Botswana and Chobe National Park.  Today we will enjoy game viewing drives and a river cruise.  Lunch will be at the Marina Lodge Botswana.  We will return in the late afternoon to Victoria Falls. For dinner tonight, we will be able to experience African Cuisine and Culture at Boma a buffet where you can sample a great variety of local African cuisine including warthog, Impala, kudu, and many traditional English meals and every dessert  you can think of.
