Who we are
Owner-run, on purpose
We started with one vehicle, a camera and a licence, guiding visitors around the falls we grew up beside. A decade later we still guide the trips ourselves.
Excellence Trails is based at 1021 Aerodrome in Victoria Falls, minutes from the airport and the park gates. Sisa and the team hold Zimbabwean professional guiding credentials and keep every departure private, so the vehicle stops when you ask it to.
We are photographers too. That shapes how we plan a day: where the light will be at 06:20, which waterhole faces the sun in the afternoon, when to wait rather than drive on.
Beyond Victoria Falls we guide Hwange, Matobo, Great Zimbabwe and cross-border days into Chobe — the whole route on one vehicle, with one team. Further afield we plan and escort journeys through Botswana's Okavango Delta and Makgadikgadi Pans, Namibia's Etosha and Sossusvlei, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, Kenya's Maasai Mara, Kruger, Cape Town and the beaches of Zanzibar and the Seychelles.

Sisa holds Zimbabwean professional guiding credentials and has led our Victoria Falls, Hwange, Matobo and Chobe itineraries for over a decade. Guests regularly name him in their reviews for the way he reads the bush and tells the story of the river.

Every Excellence Trails safari is led by one of our own experienced, licensed guides. Guests who would particularly like Sisa's expertise on their trip may request him as their lead guide, subject to availability, for an additional guiding fee.
